Local specialities
Among our most typical products is the Certaldo onion, two varieties of which are grown: a sweet-flavoured one which we use to make jam, the other with a sharper taste, frequently added to typical Tuscan soups and to the so-called “francesina”, a dish of boiled veal, sautéed with onion and tomato.
The Tuscan agricultural traditions, the climate and the surrounding hills produce other delicacies for our guests to enjoy such as the extra virgin olive oil and some of the Chianti D.O.C.G. wines.
